Dissociative attachment (Sharp and Dowell 1967) presents two overlapping peaks in
the region of the total cross-section maximum: the lower one at 9 eV is due to the production
of H ions,and the higher one at 10.2 eV is due to CH2−  ions. The contribution
to total cross section  is as low as 4 •10−5 m2.
